Getting Started
Choose any light knit you like. You'll also need thin velcro, a scrap of matching tulle, and small ribbon for straps, if you want them. I also recommend a fine tip wash-away marker.
Align the fabric so that the stretchy direction is horizontal. Trace the pattern onto the back of the fabric.
Set your own seam allowance, as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. You can always trim it down later.
Sew up the sides. Leave a bit open for the side slit.
Fold over that bottom hem and topstitch it.
Back view
Put the bit of tulle across the front side.
Sew across the whole top edge.
Trim away excess. Make a small cut where I marked in red, stop about 1mm from the seam.
Trim away excess tulle.
Fold the tulle back, and use it to neatly catch the edges of the fabric.
